I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to draw your attention to a pressing matter that affects many families across our society. Recently, you might have come across "The Long Shadow," a poignant exploration of the enduring consequences experienced by families affected by profound loss.
In my personal journey, the title strikes a deeply resonant chord. My beloved sister, Sonia, tragically took her life in 2007. The impact was profoundly devastating, on par if not more distressing than the loss of our mother. It's a pain I wouldn't wish upon anyone; unfortunately, approximately 6,000 individuals reach a critical juncture where they contemplate ending their lives.
It's crucial that we advocate for increased governmental support to address this critical issue. The discourse on this matter needs to be elevated in Parliament, and this will only happen with the support of 100,000 signatures on our petition. I implore you not to wait until the tragic loss of a loved one before taking action. Your signature on this petition holds significant weight in preventing future devastating losses.
I appeal to you to sign this petition promptly, for Sonia, for me, and for all families grappling with the shattering aftermath of a loved one's self-inflicted loss. Together, let us harness the power of "The Long Shadow" to drive our society toward a vision of a Zero Suicide society.
Your support in this matter is immensely appreciated. Let's stand together to make a difference.

From the bottom of my heart,
